June 12 - June 15, 2008 marked this year's 117th Commencement Weekend at Stanford.
The main Commencement ceremony was held in the Stanford Stadium on Sunday, June 15. The Commencement ceremony speaker was Oprah Winfrey, Global Media Leader and International Philanthropist.
The Baccalaureate address was given on Saturday, June 14, by The Reverend Professor Peter J. Gomes, Plummer Professor of Christian Morals and Pusey Minister in The Memorial Church at Harvard University.
