April 5, 2022
Thank you for indicating your interest in Stanford’s rescheduled 2020 Commencement ceremony on Saturday, June 11, 2022.
We are delighted to share the news that the 2020 Commencement speaker will be Dr. France Córdova, a Stanford alumna who is an astrophysicist with a distinguished career as a leader in science, engineering and education.
The official announcement has just been released, along with the announcement of the 2022 Commencement speaker.
We will also be sharing shortly with Class of 2020 graduates information about your rescheduled Baccalaureate celebration on Friday, June 10, including details for participating in the student speaker contest.
We are also happy to let you know that changes in COVID conditions and state health protocols mean graduates, family and friends will not be required to register to attend Commencement Weekend. Additional information about walking in the Commencement ceremony will be sent to graduates in May.
Over the next two months, we’ll be sending additional emails and updating the Commencement 2020 website with further information about events, deadlines and other important details for you and the guests who’ll be celebrating with you.
We’ll be excited to welcome you back to campus in June!
