To help us plan seating and other important logistical arrangements, please confirm your participation in Commencement Weekend 2026 by submitting the RSVP form included in the April 16th invitation email from President Levin no later than Thursday, June 11.

10:00 - 11:00 a.m. - Baccalaureate celebration at Frost Amphitheater
2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - President's Reception at Hoover House
Various times - Professional school celebrations
Sunday, June 14, 2026
8:30 a.m. - Faculty to meet at Sunken Diamond (refreshments available). Please allow for increased traffic.
8:45 a.m. - Faculty lineup begins
9:00 a.m. - The Commencement ceremony begins with faculty procession
11:30 a.m. - The Commencement ceremony concludes and faculty recession out of the stadium begins
12:30 p.m. - School and department graduation ceremonies begin (various times and locations across campus)

Commencement Information
When to arrive: No later than 8:30 a.m.
Lineup begins promptly at 8:45 a.m.
Where to go: Sunken Diamond near Chuck Taylor Grove across from the stadium.
What to bring: A current Stanford ID and academic attire (worn).
Where to park: Due to road closures and heavy traffic at the end of the ceremony, you may consider parking further away and walking to the stadium.
What to do: Faculty marshals will provide instructions regarding the procession and stage seating when you arrive.
Regalia Rental & Pick-up Schedule
Academic attire is required to participate in Commencement. Regalia can be rented from Stanford Bookstore. Cost of renting will be covered by the university.
Monday, June 8 – Friday, June 12: Faculty rental regalia pre-order and onsite order distribution
Important Note: If you missed the pre-order deadline of April 24, you can still obtain regalia but will have to go to the bookstore in person from June 8-12 and select from open stock as it will not be reserved. Also, if any faculty member holds an advanced degree from another university the hood from their academic institution will longer be available. However, an official Stanford University hood will be provided to acknowledge the respective degree.
Regalia Purchase Options
The Stanford Bookstore is the only authorized and licensed seller of Stanford regalia. Custom regalia is exclusively for purchase. In partnership with Jostens, the bookstore offers standard and custom Stanford regalia.
The deadline to purchase Fine Quality Regalia in time for Commencement has passed. Regalia may still be purchased but will not arrive in time for this year's ceremony.
