Weekend Parking and Transportation

Parking line

During Commencement weekend, arrangements are made for parking and Marguerite shuttle transportation that differ from usual routes and schedules. Details and maps will be available in Winter Quarter.

Disability Parking Note: Individual disability parking spaces, marked in blue, are located throughout the campus. These spaces will remain reserved for vehicles displaying state-issued (any state) disability placards or license plates. All others will be cited. Temporary disability parking permits for mobility-impaired guests will be available from the Stanford Diversity and Access Office. These Stanford-issued permits will only be valid in specially designated lots for the Baccalaureate and Commencement Ceremony. If you have a state issued permit you DO NOT need a Stanford temporary permit.

Parking on Campus

Baccalaureate – Saturday, June 14

Parking for Baccalaureate Celebration is available on the streets that intersect Palm Drive and in the many visitor lots throughout campus. Parking for guests with state-issued or Stanford issued temporary disabled parking permits is available at the Palm Drive Oval.

Class Day Lecture – Saturday, June 14

Parking is available to the general public in the Galvez Field Lot at the corner of Galvez and Campus Drive and in the Knight Management Center underground parking structure 7 located directly across from Maples Pavilion. ADA parking is available in the Maples lot adjacent to Maples Pavilion.

Commencement ceremony – Sunday, June 15

Parking for the main Commencement ceremony is available in the parking lots surrounding the Stadium. Please note: some lots require a permit. Parking for guests with state-issued or temporary disabled parking permits is available in the Varsity Lot.
Events may be located some distance from each other. There has been an hour built into the schedule for graduates and their families to walk from the Stadium to each site. If you must move your automobile to a new location between ceremonies, please use caution as the pedestrian traffic will be heavy and parking availability outside of the designated commencement lots is extremely limited. Please plan accordingly.
