All graduates must register themselves and their guests to receive tickets for the Baccalaureate Celebration and Commencement Ceremony. Guests will NOT be able to register themselves.

Graduate Tickets
All graduating students must register themselves and their guests to receive tickets for the weekend's main ceremonies. Tickets provide entry to both the Baccalaureate Celebration and Commencement Ceremony.

Please Note: These tickets are valid only for Baccalaureate and Commencement. Some school and department ceremonies and other events, such as Senior Dinner on the Quad, may require separate RSVPs or tickets. Contact organizers for requirements.

Guest Registration
Guests can not register themselves. There is no limit to the number of guests you can register, but each guest may receive only one ticket. Tickets are required for all guests aged 2 and older. You’ll need to provide each guest's full name and email address.
For guests with no email, you may enter your or another guest’s email. One person can present multiple QR codes on their device, but each guest must be present for scanning. Note: As a graduate, you'll enter separately from your guests, so make sure to print or share their tickets with them in advance.
Ticket Confirmation
You and your guests will receive unique, non-transferable QR code tickets sent to the email you provide. Tickets can be added to mobile phone wallets, saved as screenshots, or printed.

Yes, graduates will be required to register for tickets for themselves and their guests to attend the Commencement and Baccalaureate ceremonies.
Eligible graduates will receive an email with the link to register for tickets for themselves and their guests in late April.

Yes. Eligible graduates will be sent information in early spring quarter for how to request a ticket for themselves, as well as any guests they may wish to invite.
- Only eligible graduates can register for tickets. Guests cannot request tickets and must contact their graduate to make arrangements.
- All eligible students will receive an email in late April with a link to the Commencement ticketing website to register for tickets.
- Once the student has submitted the registration form, tickets will be sent to each guest at the email address provided by the student for that guest. Note: If the guest does not have an email address, the student may enter an alternative email—such as their own or another guest’s—where their ticket should be sent.
- Guest information may be added or updated by the student until the deadline on Thursday, June 12.
You are automatically eligible to request tickets for the main Commencement ceremony if you:
- Conferred a degree in Summer 2024, Autumn 2024, or Winter 2025.
- Are expected to confer your degree in Spring 2025 or Summer 2025.
- Are a coterm student who began your undergraduate program in Autumn 2021.
Current students can check their eligibility by logging into Axess, going to the "My Academics" drop-down menu, and then selecting "Univ. Commencement Eligibility." This will show if you are Eligible or Not Eligible, based on your student record. No action is required for eligible students. If you are listed as Ineligible but wish to participate, you must complete the Commencement Participation Request form. Eligible students should not complete this form. Instructions can be found on the Student Academic Services website.
NOTE: If you plan to apply to graduate in Summer 2025 but have a different expected graduation date than listed above, follow the exception request process above.
If you're eligible, you should have received an email from commencement@stanford.edu with a link to register for tickets. If you didn't get it, check your alumni email or any other preferred email accounts you provided to Stanford, as well as any spam/junk folders. Many students find the email was sent to a different account. If you still can't find it and have confirmed your eligibility in Axess or received a confirmed exception, please submit a support request and we will look it up for you.
You need the name and email address for each guest you plan to invite.
Tickets are sent automatically in the confirmation email after the request form is submitted. Each guest will receive their personalized ticket at the email address provided.
If they do not receive them, check the spam/junk folder. If not there, confirm with your student that they used the correct email address in their request.
You can use the same email address for more than one guest. The tickets for those guests will be sent to the email address you provided. Guests who do not have an individual email account or who share an email account with another guest must enter with the person who received the tickets.

No, all tickets are general admission and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to secure their preferred seating. Gates open at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday for Baccalaureate, and 7:30 a.m. on Sunday for Commencement. Please note: Capacity is limited at Frost Amphitheater and entry is not guaranteed.
No, tickets are non-transferable. Each ticket has the guest's name and a unique QR code that may only be scanned once.
Guests without phones should arrange to print their tickets or enter with another guest who can access the ticket on their phone.
Yes, but each ticket must be scanned individually for entry. Note: The individuals with the additional tickets must be present with that guest at the entrance gate.
Children under the age of 2 years do not require a ticket. Children who look older than 2 should have a ticket to avoid confusion at the entrance.
Eligible graduates can update their registration to add, edit, or cancel requested guest tickets until the deadline on Thursday, June 12 at 11:59 p.m.
Yes. The tickets requested via the form are valid for both Baccalaureate and Commencement. However, due to limited venue capacity, entry into Frost Amphitheater for Baccalaureate is available to ticketed guests on a first-come, first-served basis, and tickets do not guarantee access.
Yes. The tickets requested via the form are valid for both Baccalaureate and Commencement. Graduating students will need tickets to enter the lineup area.
Some departmental ceremonies may require tickets or have restrictions on the number of guests due to limited capacity. Tickets issued for Commencement Weekend are NOT valid for any other events other than Commencement and Baccalaureate. Please check with your specific department for details.
